RESULTS OF THE 1st PUPILS ART CONTEST (7/7/2010).

The Pupils Art Contest “Discover Psiloritis Natural Park” has reached its end with great success.
Totally 159 contributions have been submitted, mainly with paintings, from 11 schools all over Greece. The Park would like to thank participants and all those who helped the successful operation of the contest.

An evaluation group has been established to study submissions and put the awards. The group was constituted by Mr Apostoloakis Manolis, painter; Mrs Mataliotaki Rena, painter; Mr Prinianakis Manolis, photographer; Mr Patakos Dimitris, Director of AKOMM Psiloritis S.A., and Mr Fassoulas Charalampos, vice-president of Geopark management committee.

The evaluation group decided not to award prizes for the Video and Photography of primary school due to small participation. Additionally, due to the large number of contributions a new category was added for the Painting of pupils aged between 6-8 years old.

 Psiloritis Natural Park is intenting to organise in August, at its new building, a special exhibition of all contributions as well as a ceremony to award the prizes of the contest. Date will be anounced soon.
