Management Committee Assembly in Heraklion, 29-10-2009

The members of Psiloritis Geopark Management Committee met at Heraklion on Tuesday, 27-10-2009 discussing several issues related to future activities.
The president Mr Sokratis Kefalogiannis and the vice president Ch. Fassoulas informed members about the results of the 24^th Coordination Committee and the 8^th International Conference of European Geoparks which were hosted in September at Naturtejo Geopark, Portugal.
The Management Committee decided the following:

1. The development a 5-years Management and Action Plan for the Geopark and for the period 20010-2015. Mr C. Fassoulas, K. Paragamian, D. Patakos and G. Papadakis will set in next weeks the content of these plans.
2. To send a letter to the new Ministry of Environment describing the efforts so far of the geopark on the topics of management and conservation of natural and cultural resources of Psiloritis mountains.
3. To organise a meeting with all stakeholders, companies and individuals who are active within the territory of the park in order to exchange ideas on future collaboration.
4. To prepare the next EGN Week program for the summer 2010
5. To search for funding opportunities through EU projects and National Funds.
6. To develop several products for sales
